Obituary

Elvera Fern Muller, 95, of Albany passed away Wednesday at her home.

She was born and raised in Corvallis, the daughter of Charles and Selma (Metge) Glender. Elvera graduated from Corvallis High School in 1934 and married Royal William "Bill" Muller on Sept. 12, 1937, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Albany.

They made their home near the family farm on Muller Drive in Albany for 50 years. Bill preceded her in death on Sept. 7, 1997, and Elvera moved into town to an apartment and then to Cambridge Terrace in 2009. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, baking, canning and working on the farm. Elvera was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and very involved in the ladies guild, Linn County Extension group and was an election teller.

Elvera is survived by sons Royal R. Muller of Othello, Wash., and John C. Muller of Idaho Falls, Idaho; daughter Diane Sease of Lebanon; sister Leone Kruse of Bend; and brother Eugene Glender of Albany; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 16, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Private family burial will be at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church Ladies Guild and sent in care of the funeral home.
