Ervin Myron Mithun

May 3, 1949 – June 19, 2017

Ervin Myron Mithun, son of Ellert and Marly (Alsaker) Mithun was born on May 3, 1949 in Starbuck, MN.

Ervin was blessed with 5 children.

Ervin retired and sold his business, Grampa's Grocery's in January 2017 after 30 years. He was a member of the American Legion, where he loved to play bingo.

Ervin loved to spend time with his family going fishing, family trips, playing games, telling jokes and laughing at them. When he visited MN, he had to eat at White Castle and buy Old Dutch Ripple Potato Chips.

Ervin passed away at the age of 68 years on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Albany General Hospital. He was very much loved by his family and community.

Ervin is survived by his wife Melea; children Shareen Miller (Mark) of Churchton, MD, Denise Hjelmstad of Fergus Falls, MN, Korie Mithun of Alexandria, MN, John Mithun of Fredericksburg, VA, and Chris Romviel of Albany, OR; 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters Marlene (Steve) Braun of Coon Rapids, MN, Helen (Tim) Rannow of Coon Rapids, MN, Nancy (David) Armstrong of Glenwood, MN; brother Gary (Barbara) Mithun of West St. Paul, MN; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Maisie Schumann and Marie Hall.
