Ethel Lee KilgoreJune 7, 1916 - November 2, 2008Ethel L. Kilgore, 92 of Lebanon, passed away at her residence.She was born in Leflore County, Okla., the daughter of Ross and Lilly (Terry) Childress. She married Castner "Bud" Kilgore in Greenwood, Ark., on Aug. 8, 1941. They moved to Jefferson to farm in 1947 and moved to Albany in 1958. Ethel was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, who enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens, traveling, shopping and playing bingo. She was famous for making raisin pies and banana pudding. Ethel is survived by daughters Patricia Donovan of Dupont, Wash., Betty Draper and Judee Johnston both of Albany; sons Bud and Rudy of Sweet Home, Jim of Philomath, and Bob of Albany; sister Ora Mae Dimes of Fort Smith, Ark.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Bud; daughters Mary Thomas and Linda Jean Kilgore; sisters Jane Childress, Emily Kilgore, and Rena Poole; and brothers John Childress, and Lewis Childress.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Evergreen Hospice.
