Evelyn Anna EhmkeNovember 23, 1916 - September 15, 2008Evelyn Anna Ehmke, 91, of Albany passed away Monday at her home.She was born in Cook, Neb., the daughter of William and Mary (Juilfs) Wellsandt.  She was raised in Nebraska and graduated from high school in Talmage, Neb.  She married Harvey O. Ehmke on Jan. 23, 1937, in Sidney, Iowa and they moved to Albany in 1939.  She was a past member of the Eagles Auxilury 2255 and had attended Immanuel Lutheran Church.  Evelyn enjoyed working puzzles and traveling.She is survived by son Ronald Ehmke and his wife Twyla of Albany; daughters Janice Ehmke and Mary Fallesen and husband Steve all of Albany;  nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Harvey Ehmke in 1994; her parents; brother Harvey Wellsandt; and one great-great-grandchild.At Evelyn's request there will be no public services.  AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home is handling arrangements.  ( www.aasum-dufour.com )
