F. Maxine Robinson OstergaardApril 18, 1924 - May 18, 2008Maxine passed away on Sunday at her home with her family by her side. She was born in Edwall, Wash., to O. Aubrey and Pearl S. (Beem) Rew. After graduating from High School in Edwall, she attended Business College in Spokane and graduated from there as well. In 1944 she married Glenn Robinson in Norfolk, Virginia. Glenn and Maxine resided in Modesto, Calif. for 32 years before moving to Brownsville to work the Z Triangle Ranch. Maxine sold the ranch after Glenn's death in 1999 and became a snow bird between Brownsville and Mes, Ariz. During this time she met Orval Ostergaard and in 2004 they were married.Maxine was a Brownie Leader for the Girl Scouts and served as president of the PTA when her children were young. She also was very involved with the March of Dimes. Throughout her years in Brownsville she was very involved in the community and special events. She loved hosting get-together's, collecting things, antique shopping and especially garage sales.She was a member of Brownsville Christian Church, and the Lutheran Church of Mesa, Ariz.Maxine is survived by husband Orval Ostergaard of Brownsville; children Alvin and Judy Robinson of Brownsville, Beverly and Robert Packard of Brownsville, and Gary and Lynnette Robinson of Modesto, Calif.; step-children Ron and Maura Ostergaard of Los Angeles, Sheila and John McLure of Las Vegas, and Sheryl and Greg Sanders of Lake Stevens, Wash.; grandchildren Alvin II and Lindsey Robinson of Albany, Tina and Lance Large of Lacomb, Dara Spears of Ukiah, Calif., Cyndee and Doug Jones of Pine Grove, Calif., Jason, Jared, Heather, Heidi and Josh all of Modesto, Calif.; sisters Ide Patz, Bobbie Neil, Carol Smith, Ila Hanz, Vi Gardenhire and Erma McFarland; 16 great-granchildren; 7 step-grandchildren,; 6.5 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband Glen Robinson.Memorial Service will be 11 am Saturday at Brownsville Christian Church.
