Fay Anita (Clymer) Duncan

Fay Anita (Clymer) Duncan, 86, of Albany, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died Saturday at Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House in Albany with her family by her side.
Fay was born in Turner to George and Ruby (Pyritz) Clymer. She graduated from Lebanon High School in 1945. On Dec. 14, 1946, she married Gene Richard Duncan in Vancouver, Wash. They lived in Lebanon for many years before moving to Albany where they built their home. Following graduation from Albany Beauty College in 1971, she owned and operated Fay's Beauty Shop until retiring in 1984.
Fay especially enjoyed the outdoors and liked fishing, hunting and camping with her family. Her hobbies included reading mysteries, crocheting, and arts and crafts. She enjoyed growing beds of dahlias, old-fashioned roses and vegetable gardens.
She is survived by husband, Gene Richard Duncan (91); children Donald Gene Duncan (66) and late wife Joyce of Monroe, Janet Ann (Duncan) Silver (65), Lori Sue Duncan Forbis (52), and Cindy Lynn Stanton (51) and husband Duane of Astoria; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers Glen, Lyle and Kenneth Clymer.
There will be no services. AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
