FLORA R. WHITTIERSEPTEMBER 25, 1921---JANUARY 6, 2010 Flora was born in Kalispell, MT to Alfred Eric Riedl and Emma Oleah Olson (Riedl).  She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Milon G. Whittier Sr.  Flora is survived by her brother Robert K. Riedl (Jean) of Lancaster, CA and three sons; Milon (Cheryl), Mel (Karen) and Mark Whittier; 4 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.  Flora's family and friends always marveled at her great sense of humor, her ability to make the best of difficult circumstances, and her incredible memory for people's names and details of their lives.  She was a caring person who shared her love of the Lord Jesus by her actions and words of encouragement.  Her greatest desire during the past few years was to be in heaven with our Lord Jesus and her husband, Milon Sr. Flora's earthly remains will join Milon Sr.'s at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.Our family offers our sincere appreciation and thanks to the staff at Mennonite Village nursing home, and Quail Run assisted living, for the loving and kind care they provided to our mother. There will be a celebration of her life on Sunday, January 17, 2010 at 2:00 PM.Mennonite Village Chapel,  5353 Columbus St SE, Albany, OR 97322. Memorial contributions may be made to New Tribes Mission, ATTN: Paul & Faith Wyma, 1000 E.
