Franklin Dee Bolden, 80, of Tangent passed away on Monday at his residence.
Franklin was born in Wilcoe, West Virginia, to Everett M. and Bessie E. (Sexton) Bolden. He moved to Kelso, Washington, and married Cleona C. Powers in Kelso on March 10, 1956, and they came to Albany in 1960. He worked for Dura Flake in Albany as a truck driver for 32 years. He was a member of the Albany Seventh Day Adventist Church and enjoyed playing guitar, wood working, and working in his yard.
Franklin is survived by his wife, Cleona C Bolden of Tangent; daughters Sheryl Rediger and Becky McConnell; son David Bolden; brother Leslie Bolden; and grandchildren Meghan Melin, Elisa Bolden and Christopher McConnell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Jack, Carl, Raymond, Hubert, William, James and Doug; and sisters Goldie, Evelyn, Edna and Louise.
A celebration of life will be at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at the Albany Seventh Day Adventist Church, 3085 Grand Prairie Road S.E.
