Obituary
Freda L. Edwards, 82, of Albany passed away Thursday evening at the Salem Hospital.
Freda was born in Battle Creek, Neb., the daughter of Ben and Tollie (Pierce) Flesner. In 1947 she married Arthur L. Edwards from Indianola, Iowa, and he preceded her in death Oct. 14, 1998. Freda worked as a meat wrapper for Safeway for over 35 years.
She is survived by son Bob Edwards of Foster; daughter Betty Steen of Downey, Calif.; and grandchildren Cherie Mitchell, Michele Bowers, Jennifer Harris, and David and Danny Steen; and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four brothers and four sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.
A visitation was Tuesday, Aug. 30, at the funeral home. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. today at Harvest Baptist Church in Albany with burial to follow at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to Harvest Baptist Church and sent in care of the funeral home.
