Gayle Lee Dolan

Gayle Lee Dolan, 64, of Albany went to meet his Lord surrounded by his family at the Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House.
Gayle was born in Blue Earth, Minnesota, to Henry and Marvis Ardell (Matheson) Dolan. He moved to Albany in 1956 and graduated from Albany Union High School in 1971. He worked at SWF, Southern Pacific, Domtar and then at Starr Enterprises prior to retiring.
Gayle enjoyed his time in the outdoors with salmon and steelhead fishing, camping, and bow hunting for elk. He was sports fan and enjoyed hockey, the Mariners and the Minnesota Vikings.  Gayle loved to travel and took several trips including Europe, California and Hawaii. The most important things to Gayle were God and the time he spent with his family.
Gayle is survived by his mother, Marvis Dolan of Albany; sister Glenda Pockrus and husband Ron of Lebanon; brother Lynn Dolan and wife Annette of Albany; and nephews and nieces Nathan, Brett, Lauren, Jon and Madilynn of Albany and Tom Evers of Richland, Washington.
He was preceded in death by his father Henry Dolan.
A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 25, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1910 34th Ave. S.E., Albany, OR 97322.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
