Gene Arthur WinnApril 22, 1930 - May 29, 2009Gene A. Winn, 79 of Corvallis, passed away Friday at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.He was born in Albany the son of James and Gladyse (Milner) Winn.  He was raised in North Albany and graduated from Albany Union High School in 1948.  Gene attended Oregon State University for a short time then began working at the Sportsman a sporting goods store on 2nd street in downtown Albany.  Gene then went to work for Anderson's Sporting goods in Corvallis then for Fred Meyer in Corvallis until he retired.Gene coached little league and women's softball he also enjoyed fishing, camping, and bowling.He is survived by sister Lois L. Winn of Eugene,  Uncle and Aunt Darrell and Alice Winn and cousin Darrelene Holcomb all of Beaver Creek, OR.Private Entombment was held at Willamette Memorial Park in Albany.  AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home handled arrangements.  ( www.aasum-dufour.com )
