Obituary
Gilbert Arthur Bachelor, 83, of Corvallis passed away on Thursday morning at Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House.
Gilbert was born in Valentine, Nebraska, to Charles and Jeanette (Jones) Bachelor. He graduated from Rogers High School in Spokane, Washington, and then attended Eastern Washington College. Gilbert worked at Oregon State University for more than 30 years as a professor of computer science and mathematics.
Gilbert is survived by sisters Beth A. Suslo of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Mary J. Lohstroh of Deer Park, Washington; five nephews; two nieces; and many grand-nieces and -nephews.
At his request, no public services will be held. Private family services will take place at a later date.
