Gladys Faye "Babe" LedfordApril 3, 1921 - October 29, 2007Gladys "Babe" Ledford, 86 of Scio, passed away Monday, October 29, at her home with her family by her side.She was born April 3, 1921 in Sarcoxie, Missouri the daughter of Clifford Delton and Thelma Gertrude (Schroll) Wiley. she was raised in Missouri and married Robert E. Ledford in Joplain, Missouri on October 28, 1939. After many moves they settled in Scio, OR in 1970 and had been there since that time. Babe was a home maker and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, playing the piano, and helping her husband mine gold. Babe was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.She is survived by her husband of 68 years Robert E. Ledford of Scio, OR. sons Kermit Lee Ledford of Conchas Dam, NM and Rockie Wayne Ledford of Scio, OR. Daughter Bonnita "Bunny" Lawson of Albany, OR. brother Charles H. Wiley of Scio, OR. sister Merlin Kay Dornbush of Houston, TX. 7 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. At her request no public services will be held.
