Gladys Stutzman

Gladys Stutzman, 97, of Albany passed away Sunday morning at Lydia's House.
She was born in Albany, the daughter of Chris and Mary (Schlegel) Roth. She was raised in Albany and married Gordon Calvin Stutzman on Aug. 25, 1935, in Albany, and they lived on a farm outside of town. In 1961 they moved into town from the farm. Gladys loved to bake, cook and entertain friends and family. She was a member of Grace Point Nazarene Church and loved her poodle "Annie" and eating out at Pings Garden.
She is survived by daughter Yvonne and son-in-law Percy Kropf of Albany; grandson Kevin Kropf and wife Karen; and great-grandchildren Erin, Dana and Ryan Kropf; sisters Violet Schrock, Grace Headings, Della Steckly and Marian Mitchel; and brother Norman Roth, all of Albany. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents Chris and Mary Roth, sisters; Beulah Widmer, Florence McTimmonds, Mildred Steckly, and brothers Eddie and Percy Roth and a sister that died in infancy.
The family would like to thank the staff at Lydia's House for the wonderful loving care Gladys received.
A visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, at the funeral home. A private family graveside service will be at Fairview Mennonite Cemetery. A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 7, at Albany First Assembly of God, with a reception to follow.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Point Nazarene Church building fund or Lydia's House at Mennonite Village and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
