Obituary

Gloria Louise (Conrady) Kilmer passed peacefully at home on January 31, 2024. Gloria is remembered as kindhearted, truly generous, and loving spirit. Her friends and family will miss her sweet welcoming smile, her "heart of gold," and the encouragement and light she brought to others.

As a girl, she loved raising rabbits on her family's farm in Knox Butte, which was more successful than her parents had hoped. She played the French horn while in high school and also played piano. Gloria graduated from Albany Union High School in 1971. She studied business at LBCC and worked in the information booth at OSU for several years. She was most happy being a mom and a homemaker. She loved gardening and being creative. She was happily retired in Sodaville with her husband of 37 years, Steve Kilmer.

Gloria is survived by her husband, Steve Kilmer; three children: Stephanie Hadley, Rachael and son-in-law Dean Pinkham and Racey Short; grandchildren: Katie Flowers, Anna Nichole Hadley, Jake Sorrell, Shane Rucker and Dezi Short; siblings: Claudia Caster, Michael Conrady, Emily Chaput, and Evelyn Gilbert; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her father, William Virgil Conrady; and mother, Christina Adaline Conrady.

Celebration of her life will take place at Jefferson Baptist Church in the small chapel on February 17, at 1 p.m. Lunch will be served following the service.
