Gordon Delmour KutschApril 9, 1933 - March 15, 2008Gordon Delmour Kutsch, 74, of Salem passed away peacefully Saturday with his wife, daughter and granddaughters at his side.He was born in Albany, the son of Adolph and Matilda (Schulze) Kutsch. He was raised in Albany and graduated from Albany High School. In March of 1953, Gordon was inducted into the U.S. Army and served until his honorable discharge in March of 1955. After his discharge, Gordon worked at his uncle's sawmill in Fortuna, CA. On December 7, 1963, Gordon married Dorene A. Kreger in Albany and they resided in Albany until moving to Salem in 1990. While in Albany, Gordon worked for KGAL from 1965 until 1972 as "John Law" and then began a career in land development and real estate. Gordon worked in this field until he was too ill to work any longer. Gordon very much enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Dorene Kutsch, of Salem; son Marlon D. and wife Lisa Kutsch of Albany; daughter Angelica and husband Greg Pride of Myrtle Point; sister Carolyn and husband Zef Lopez of Marietta, CA.; brother Eugene and wife Normita Kutsch of Albany; seven grandchildren; one nephew; and several nieces.At Gordon's request no public services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Oregon Food Bank or Hospice and sent in care of AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home which is handling arrangements. (
