Grover Leo Beam Jr. passed away unexpectedly on June 2 in Albany. He was 51 years old.
He was born in Santa Rosa, California, to Grover (Butch) Beam Sr. and Gladys Beam. He attended high school in Coquille and LBCC in Albany, specializing in auto mechanics. He loved working on cars, bicycling, lifting weights and furthering his education.
Grover is survived by parents Butch and Marilyn Beam, and Frank and Gladys Miyasaai; daughter Amy Herring; son Austin Nelson; brothers Dave Beam and Paul Luhrs; sisters Donna Beam, Lori Beam, Nancy Beam, Lisa McKinney and Melissa Luhrs; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by grandparents Floyd and Lorraine Beam, and Clyde and Marie Rice.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Grover Beam Jr. to any Central Willamette Community Credit Union branch payable to Grover Leo Beam Sr. to help offset funeral expenses.
A private family gathering will take place soon.
