July 6, 1933 – February 4, 2025
Harry Hunter McLuskie of Albany passed away at his home surrounded by family on February 4th. Harry was born in Glasgow Scotland to Flora and James McLuskie.
He had two brothers Tommy and Jim along with one sister Margaret. He served in the Royal Air Force before immigrating to Toronto Canada. He met Anna Morris in Scotland, and she eventually joined him in Toronto, and they were married in 1956. They lived in Canada for 9 years where three of their children were born Shirlie-Anne, Grant, and Fraser. They then immigrated to California in 1964 where their youngest daughter Amy was born. Harry worked in finance/banking and was eventually transferred to Albany Oregon where he worked at Citizens Valley Bank. Harry loved adventures with his family, Sunday drives, reading world newspapers, horse racing, playing, watching, and coaching soccer, and attending any sporting event or activity of his children or grandchildren.
Harry is survived by wife Anna of 68 years, his sons Grant and Dorie of Tumalo, and Fraser and Shannon of Salem, and daughter Amy and Mike Snow of Gresham, and late daughter Shirlie-Anne and Todd Shelton of Keizer. He has many grandchildren that he loved watching grow, BreAnna, Ian, Grant and Carmen McLuskie, Hunter and Tucker Snow, and Kylee Shelton. He also has one great-grandson Sebastian.
His humor, calm nature, and love of life and family will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
A celebration of life will be held at North Albany Community Church on Saturday April 5th, 2025, at 1:00 pm.
