Helen  Sertich Podpeskar passed away on April 24.
Mrs. Podpeskar was born in Virginia, Minnesota June 13, 1920.  She was the fifth child born to Marko Sertich and Louisa (Lucy) Sopp.
In 1938, Helen married John Alex Podpeskar.  After moving to Albany, Oregon in the early 1940's, the couple purchased the Millersburg store which Helen ran while John worked driving log trucks.  Helen went on to earn her LPN at Linn Benton Community College and subsequently worked in home health care.
Helen enjoyed gardening and reading.  She also enjoyed fishing trips with her husband.
Helen is preceded in death by her husband John and son John.  She is survived by her daughter Joan, grandson Todd, granddaughter Laural, and daughter-in-law Cheryl.
Funeral services will be held at St. Edwards's Catholic Church, Lebanon, Oregon, Wednesday, May 3 at 11 a.m.  Reception following in the church hall.
