Obituary
Helen Ramirez, 66, of Albany died Tuesday at Samaritan Albany General Hospital.
Helen was born and raised in Albany and attended Albany Union High School.
She married Jerry Lee Ramirez on Monday, Dec. 26, 1966, in Reno, Nev.
She enjoyed camping and was an animal lover and very much enjoyed her dog, "Jack." Helen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and loved being with her family.
Helen is survived by husband Jerry Ramirez; daughter Teresa Marie Ramirez of Portland; son Mark Allen and wife Fidencia Ramirez of Albany; sister Donna Mainord of Albany; and grandchildren Gabriel Allen Ramirez and Joshua Thomas Ramirez. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Shirley (Christiansen) Weist.
A celebration of life will be at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home.
