Helen B. Robinson, 84, of Albany passed away Monday at her home.
She was born the daughter of James and Daisy (Hart) Green. She grew up in Cahokia, Ill., and married Milford "Mel" Robinson on Oct. 11, 1947, in Linfield, Tenn. They made their home in Cahokia, Ill., and came out to Oregon after Mel retired from Monsanto Chemical Co.
They moved to The Dalles and then to Albany in 1975. In 1985 they began a business known as Mel's Bass & Tackle. Helen was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and enjoyed art and very much loved her family.
She is survived by sons Chuck Robinson of Jefferson and Jeffrey Robinson of Rowlitt, Texas; daughters Pam Schroeder of Jefferson, Pat Zattau of Puyallup, Wash., and Linda Wibbens of Albany; brother Bernard Green and sister Priscilla Howard, both of Illinois; 16 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. today with a recitation of the rosary to follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 9, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with burial to follow at Willamette Memorial Park.
