Obituary
Helen Jane DesRosier Shook, 87, of Albany, Oregon, passed away on August 19, 2013. Jane was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and she will be dearly missed by all.
Jane was born in Browning, Montana on March 28, 1926. She graduated from Browning High School and continued onto Nurses Training in Spokane, Washington.
Jane was married to Harry Ford Shook on March 18, 1950; they were married 27 years before Ford's passing in 1977.
Jane is survived by her children, Mary Jane Shook Umberger and Kathy Shook; her grandchildren, Jennifer Shook Wood, Brian Nye, and Stacey Nye; her great-grandchildren, Mikayla Wood, Courtney Wood, and Adon Shalberg; her brothers Peter DesRosier and David DesRosier, and other family and friends.
Jane is preceded in death by Harry Ford Shook, Joseph Stewart DesRosier, Helen King McCourt DesRosier, James DesRosier, Sister Frances DesRosier, MaryLou DesRosier Babcock, Patricia DesRosier Bergman, and Annette DesRosier Munson.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., August 27, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Albany, Oregon. Viewing will be held from 8-10 a.m. at AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home, Albany, Oregon. Burial will follow the funeral at Eureka Cemetery, Newport, Oregon at 3 p.m. Funeral arrangements are being handled by AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home ( www.aasum-dufour.com ).
