Helen Roberta SutherlinJune 30, 1929 - June 20, 2010 Helen Roberta Sutherlin, 80 of Albany, Oregon passed away June 20, 2010 Helen was born in San Francisco, California to Robert and Eulalia (Fisher) Cutting. She married James M. Sutherlin, Jr. in Eureka, CA on Feb. 12, 1950.They moved to Tangent, OR in September 1950 and then to Lebanon, OR in 1962. She worked with US Plywood until 1970. They moved to Salem, Eugene, Portland, Seattle and Honolulu, coming back to Lebanon to retire. Helen has lived at Timberwood Court in Albany for the past 5 years.Her husband, James passed away in 1992.Helen was a Past President of the Lebanon Elks Solo Steppers - widows group.She liked to play cards and was an avid reader.Survivors are son Rick of Albany, daughter Nancy Kappe of Orlando, Florida and brother Robert Cutting of Deland, Florida. Helen also had 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. No services will be held.Private interment will be in the Willamette Memorial Park in Albany.AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Contributions may be given to the Elks Casey Eye Clinic for Children or Albany Evergreen Hospice.
