Obituary
Iris June Roberts, 60, of Albany passed away Saturday at Samaritan Albany General Hospital.
She was born in Charleston, SC the daughter of Vernon and Mary (Rogers) Godbee. Iris was raised in Ravenal, SC and graduated from St. Paul's High School in 1968. Iris married Loren Gene Roberts in Charleston, SC on June 21, 1970 and earned an AS from LBCC in 1974. She enjoyed; reading, traveling, sailing, and bicycle rides.
She is survived by; husband Loren G. Roberts of Albany, daughter Bethany June Holden and son Benjamin Gene Roberts both of Portland brother Travis Godbee of Atlanta, and sister Sharon Pleniewicz of Byron, Ill. numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Linn County Expo Center Willamette building room 1. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association or the American Liver Foundation. AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home is handling arrangements. ( www.aasum-dufour.com )
