Jack C. DeWall was born to Claus and Bertha (Crabtree) DeWall in Lebanon, Oregon.
He graduated from Albany Union High School in 1952 and enrolled in the Army where he served in the Korean War.
Jack married Leona Ricke on October 31, 1953. He and Leona raised their 4 children in the Lebanon, Sweet Home and Albany area where he was a second-generation logger. After 40 years in the logging industry, he retired and started a second career as a camp host in Arizona and Linn County Oregon retiring at the age of 89.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, sister, wife Leona and daughter Jacqueline Bowser.
He leaves behind his wife Betty Crowder-DeWall, daughters Nancy Hostetler, partner Louie Lowenberg, Sherry DeWall, partner Mike Cathart, son Dennis DeWall, wife Julene DeWall. Grandchildren Jessica
Briese, husband Drew Briese, Jesse DeWall, Dezeray DeWall, husband Kyle Lindsay, and Delaney Jackson, husband Matt Jackson. Great grandchildren Hayden Briese, Parker Jackson, Kade Lindsay and Leona Lindsay.
Funeral will be held at Aasum-Dufour Funeral Home, 805 SW Ellsworth Street, Albany, Oregon on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 11:00 am, directly followed by burial at Willamette Memorial Park Cemetery in Millersburg, Oregon
