Obituary
James "Jim" C. John, 60, of Sweet Home passed away Saturday at the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.
He was born in James Town, N.Y., and raised there until age 18 when he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He married Shelley G. Brand in Anchorage, Alaska, on Oct. 26, 1986. Jim worked for ATI Wah Chang as a safety coordinator and enjoyed fishing and camping.
He is survived by wife Shelley John of Sweet Home; children Steven of Seattle, Waynette of Sweet Home, Timothy of West Virginia and James of Albuquerque, N.M.; brothers and sisters Maurice, J.R., Michael, Danita, Danice, Sue and Shelley; parents Dan and Ruth John; and grandchildren Curtis, Cassidy, Chance, Cassy, Andy, Sam, Gabi, James and Zak.
A visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, at the funeral home.
