James Dale Staats, 51, died July 26.
He was born in Springfield to Lonnie and Shirley (Smith) Statts. He attended Lebanon Union High School.
On March 11, 1994, he married Shelley Patton in Millersburg. He was a local general contractor.
James is survived by his son Nickolas; mom Shirley; and brothers Dan, Larry and Bob.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Staats.
A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home, 805 Ellsworth St. S.W., in Albany.
