Obituary

Janice Singer, 63, of Monmouth, Oregon passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2020. She was born in Castro Valley, CA on August 09, 1956. Janice is preceded in death by her mother Lillie Ulmer, father William Francis, step-father Samuel Ulmer, brother Richard Francis, and grandson Breydon Singer. She is survived by her sisters Carol Simonson, Cynthia Roberts (Rod), Beverly Greeley (Tom); children Stacy Peterson (Brian), Paul Singer III, Nicholas Singer (Shana), and Shawna Gehrke;  Grandchildren Chelsea Skagen, Sydney North, and Jakob Singer; Great-Grandchildren Annalynne Waderich, Jaxson Skagen, and Bennett North; many nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members and friends. Besides her family, the three major loves in her life were the beach, playing bingo, and being an avid Green Bay Packers fan. Janice was very social, being someone that was easy to talk to, and always quickly made friends with others due to her outgoing personality. She was carefree in everything she did, lived her life on her own terms, and was often considered to be the life of the party. She also loved Nascar, her favorite driver being Kasey Kahne. She enjoyed cooking for others and was known for her home-cooked meals including her famous fried chicken, macaroni and potato salad, and biscuits and gravy. Her legacy will continue through her enjoyment of cooking as she taught her children, grandchildren, family, and friends her recipes. She enjoyed country music, swimming, and playing cards at family gatherings. She frequently watched crime tv shows, cooking shows, and news programs. Her favorite game show was The Price is Right, in which she was a contestant on the show in the '90s. She also loved watching her favorite movies Beaches, Forrest Gump, Overboard, Steel Magnolias, and Thelma and Louise. We wish to extend our sincerest thank you to the numerous nurses, doctors, other medical professionals, family members and friends who have helped to care for her over the years. She appreciated all the caring people in her life.

A celebration of life will be held on August 8, 2020, in Bandon, Oregon. More details will be provided when they are available.
