Obituary

Jean went to be with her lord on August 15, 2012 . She fought a brave battle with pancreatic cancer for a year. She participated in a clinical trial to help find a cure for pancreatic cancer. She was a brave and generous lady.
She found comfort in the Bible verses Philippians 4:13 and Proverbs 3: 5-6.

Jean was born in Wichita Kansas Oct. 22, 1943 to William and Elizabeth Goebel. They moved to Dallas, Or. when she was 3. Later they moved to Albany where she attended and graduated from Albany Union high school. She went to work for First Interstate bank in Albany for a few years and then worked as an Admin for Hewlett Packard in Corvallis.

She enjoyed flower gardening, embroidery, knitting and crocheting. She made many afghans and sewed baby clothes. Jean was very talented, loved music, sang in many choirs and played the piano. She really enjoyed camping, the beach and was especially fond of the ocean. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren and family gatherings. Jean was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be so missed by all who knew her and her strong spirit, love-of- life and kindness.

Jean is survived by her husband Gary, daughter Kristie Conklin, son Troy Luke, sister Sharon Eng, brothers Leon, Darrell, and Gary Goebel. 4 grand children and many nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her parents and sister Joanne.

Funeral services will be private per Jean's request and handled by Assum-Dufour funeral home. A special thanks to Providence Cancer center, Mennonite Home Care, and Benton Hospice.
