Obituary
Jean Sandquist, 79 of Albany passed away at home on Saturday.
She was born to Chris and Clara Prasch in Lexington, Neb.
Jean married Carl Sandquist on Feb. 21, 1949 in Lexington, Neb.
They shared 60 wonderful years together. She enjoyed spending time with Carl and camping with her family and friends in Oregon. Carl and Jean vacationed in Calif., during the winter months, they were very active in their mobile park.
Jean worked for the telephone company in Nebraska until she moved with Carl to Oregon in 1957. She continued working with Pacific N.W. Bell in Oregon for 27 years. Retiring in December 1983.
Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband Carl Sandquist and her daughter Nancy Sandquist Taylor.
She is survived by her daughter Linda Cox of Albany; son Larry Sandquist of Brookings; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Jean will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean's name may be sent to Evergreen Hospice in care of the funeral home.
A recitation of the rosary will be at 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 23 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Albany. AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home is handling the arrangements ( www.aasum-dufour.com ).
