Obituary
Joel Mendez, 54, of Albany passed away on Sept. 24, 2015, at the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis.
Joel was born in Weslaco, Texas, on March 18, 1961, to Domingo and Maria Mendez.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Elias Mendez.
He is survived by his family, Jessica, Trinity and Joel Jr. Mendez, Mary Gomez and Cynthia Hilliard; brothers Tirso Mendoza (LaLa), Jose Ismael Mendoza, Ramiro Mendez (Maria) and Domingo Mendez (Ester); sisters Jaine Rivera (Ricardo), Elena Ramirez, Angie Cochenour (Don), Ester Victorio (Raul), Teresa Reyna (Marcelo), Elvira Salinas (Gilbert), Olga Gonzalez (Manuel) and Leticia Mendez; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A funeral liturgy will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Albany.
