IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John David
Stutzman
October 14, 1947 – January 16, 2024
John David Stutzman, 76, of Brownsville, OR died January 16, 2024. He was born October 14, 1947, to Merle and Leila Stutzman in Lebanon, OR.
A devout Christian, John loved and served the Lord. His life was marked by a strong sense of family, community, and love for all.
While fulfilling his 1-W service in Sarasota, FL, he met his wife, Bonnie Levine. They married September 1, 1970, in Albany and had four children.
He started his career early on in agriculture, but his inventive and entrepreneurial spirit led him to own two businesses - Collin's Canopies and Coachcraft. He founded Coachcraft, a luxury vehicle fabricator, in 1983. His genuine concern for the well-being of others guided him to pivot Coachcraft to an accessible vehicle conversion manufacturer.
He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors with family and friends, whether gardening, snowmobiling, fishing, crabbing, or traveling.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Stutzman; four children Lu (Steve) Gosar of Laramie, WY, Marty (Pepper) Stutzman of Shedd, OR, Mikey Stutzman of Brownsville, OR, and Laura (Alex) Schultz of Corvallis, OR; brother Melvin Stutzman, sisters Merlyn Mullett and Zelma Baker, and brother Stanley Stutzman; five grandchildren: Hayden Stutzman, Hannah Stutzman, Jacob Gosar, Jaxon Gosar, and Jace Gosar. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Sharon Stutzman.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Gospel Echoes Team Prison Ministry Northwest of Albany, OR in John's memory.
We would like to thank each and every one of you for your friendship to our beloved Husband, Dad, and Grandpa. All of the phone calls and visits truly meant so much to him.
