Jose "Chapa" Angel AguilarOct. 2, 1923 - April 30, 2008Jose, a longtime resident of Jefferson, died Wednesday at his home.The fourth of eight children, he was born in Raynosa, Mexico, to Florentino and Martina Aguilar. In 1963 he moved to Jefferson with all his family.He had a love for his family and friends.He is survived by his children, Olga Morris of McMinnville, Rogelio Aguilar of Portland, Ricardo Aguilar of Tacoma , Wash., Rodney Aguilar of Portland, Noelia Bravo of McMinnville, Rebecca Gutierrez of McMinnville, and Ray Aguilar of Jefferson; brothers Fidencio Aguilar, Armando Aguilar, Robert Aguilar of Jefferson; sisters Chonita Gonzalez of Turner, Lupita Thrift of Salem; 19 grandchildren; and 13 greatgrandchildren.          Jose was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Ninfa Cruz Aguilar; and brothers Manuel and David Aguilar.Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home, with the Rosary at 7pm. A funeral service will be at 11a.m. Saturday at St.Mary's Catholic Church in Albany, with a graveside service following at Jefferson Cemetery. A reception to follow at The Parrish, 645 N.
