Obituary

Juan Fernandez Carrizales, 85, passed away Tuesday, June 18th, at home. Juan was born on March 26th, 1939, as the fourth of five children born to Ausencio and Maria Concepcion in Cerralvo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

He married the love of his life, Jesusa, in 1964 and together they shared 60 years of marriage. Two months after their wedding, Juan, Jesusa, her parents, and five siblings made the move from Texas to Oregon.

Juan was a hardworking man who found pride in his work, but his proudest moments included becoming a U.S. citizen in 1975, his three daughters, and the light of his life: his four grandchildren. Juan was happiest on a sunny day tending to his garden, lawn, and rose bushes.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Oscar and sister Irma.

He is survived by his wife Jesusa of Jefferson, sisters Maria and Socorro of Cerralvo, Mexico, daughters, Susanna Stone (Gene) of Albany, Mary Kling (Jim) of Jefferson, Alicia Davison (Chris) of Albany, his grandchildren, Charissa, Thomas, his fiancé Mackenzie, Sydnie, Aurora and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Those who knew Juan can find comfort in knowing he has now regained his dancing legs.
