Judith Charlotte RussertJune 20, 1925 - January 7, 2009Judith C. Russert, 83, of Albany passed away Wednesday at the Mennonite Home.She was born in Marshfield, Mo., the daughter of Henry and Emma (Latwesen) Eckert.  She was raised in Missouri and married Rev. Arlyn A. Russert in Saint Louis, Mo., June 11, 1955.  Their life of ministry brought them to Albany in Dec. of 1983 when Arlyn became the Pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Judith was involved in many areas of ministry.  They retired from ministry in 1993.  Judith enjoyed traveling, and cooking and caring for others.She is survived by husband, Arlyn Russert of Albany;  son Rev. Luke Russert of Lincoln, Neb.; daughter Martha Cook of Lake Oswego; son Arlyn Russert of Billings, Mont.; six grandchildren; and one sister, Melba Middendorf of Tucson, Ariz.A graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at River View Cemetery in Portland. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Mennonite Home Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mennonite Village and sent in care of the funeral home.  AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home is handling arrangements.  ( www.aasum-dufour.com )
