Kathi Gail Anderson of Albany went home to with the Lord on May 22.
Kathi was born in Panama to Ken and Lois Ramer. She grew up in Albany and graduated from SouthAlbanyHigh School in 1974.
Kathi's love for children led her to a career in the transportation department of the Great Albany Public Schools. She started as a school bus driver in 1974 and eventually moved into the office where she retired in June of 2013. She loved the kids, and valued the many relationships she developed at "The Bus Garage."
Kathi is survived by her husband, Randy Anderson; children Ryan Wines, Kaitlin Khan and Reid MacKenzie; stepchildren Kelsey and Brennan Anderson; mother Lois Ramer; sister Tammy Skoien; brother Mark Ramer; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Kathi will be remembered for many things, but her love for God, family and music will be remembered by all. She was a loving, devoted wife whose love for her children and grandchildren was amazing to behold. Her love and gift for music has touched us all and will be treasured and shared for generations to come. We are all so blessed to have had her in our lives!
A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 21, at the First Assembly of God in Albany.
