Obituary

Kenneth Lee Anthony
November 13, 1952-March 21,2016

Ken went home to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ, on the 21st of March. He was born in San Jose, California to William and Gladys Anthony. Ken grew up in Sunnyvalle and graduated from Fremont High School in 1972. One of his main passions in High School was track. He graduated with a degree from DeAnza Community College with an AA in Geology.

Ken moved to Corvallis in 1976 and started working for Hewlett Packard. He graduated from OSU with a degree in Software Engineering. It was at HP that he met Lynn Conley and was married on the Spirit of Portland in 1996. He retired from HP after 30 years and joined Lynn in their business.

In 1978 Ken caught up with a rough and rowdy group at HP that call themselves the 'Old Goats'. Biking, hiking, and testing their physical limits were the goals of the group other than laughter and great food. Ken had also done the Bike Across Oregon three times and the Ashland Pass ride twice. You could ask Ken if he would do a project and then the wheels would turn. There wasn't much that he couldn't do when it came to mechanical, construction, or any other type of projects. His latest passion in the past few years was raising bees, selling honey and belonging to several of the bee organizations through the state.

Ken is survived by his wife Lynn, and his sons William and Charles. He is also survived by his Mother Gladys and Sister Patricia.

A Celebration of Life Memorial is planned for Friday the 15th of April at 4 p.m. at Calvary Chapel of Corvallis. Calvary is located at 2125 NW Lester Ave next to Chip Ross Park. All are welcomed.
