IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kenneth Loyd
Elliott
October 25, 1935 – June 10, 2024
Where I am, now.
You see, my love, I had to go,
Though it wasn't what we planned.
He said with tears and turned to me,
And gently clutched my hand.
I've seen the skies and aren't they great?
I've seen the love this world can give.
But I'm back to tell you what I need...
And I need you most to live.
Do not hesitate to think of me,
Or hold back that sunbeam smile
Untie your guarded heart, my love,
This life will last a while.
You deserve the life that you've begun
Even though I've gone from this
There are things you'll wish you had again,
And things you'll deeply miss.
But here's the thing that matters most-
I made a promise long ago:
That I'd never leave; I'm here with you,
Though the world won't tell you so.
So, breathe and smile those beams of light,
Drop your shoulders and hear me:
"I'm beside you now, around the bend,
And my love - I'll always be."
