In Loving Memory of Kristan Kaohinani Whiteley

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kristan Kaohinani Whiteley, who departed this life on July 18, 2026. While our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in remembering her beautiful smile, her wit, her love of dancing, and the love she shared with all that knew her. Her legacy will live on through her children, her family, and everyone fortunate enough to have been touched by her life.

She is survived by her loving parents [Renee and Joaquin Serra], her fiancé [Adam McDowell], her two sons [Hunter and Ridge], and her three sisters [Shawni McGraw, Shireen Dalton, and Angelina Cox], who will forever carry her love in their hearts. She also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends whose lives were made brighter by knowing her.

To know her was to know joy. She had a beauty that radiated from the inside out, but anyone who knew her also knew she loved expressing herself through makeup and always looked effortlessly beautiful. Her infectious smile could brighten even the darkest day, and her quick wit meant she always had the perfect comeback that left everyone laughing. She loved to dance, filling every room with laughter, music, and energy. She fiercely loved and protected her family. She was loyal beyond measure, always standing up for the people she loved and making sure they knew they were never alone. Her strength, compassion, and unwavering devotion will remain an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her. We find comfort in the countless memories she gave us—her laughter, her dancing, her warm hugs, her unforgettable smile, and the unconditional love she shared so freely.

Above all else, Kristan was a devoted mother whose greatest joy was her two precious boys. She especially looked forward to attending their sporting events and cheering them on. She was a loving daughter, a cherished sister, and a loyal friend. Her love for her family was unwavering, and the memories she created with them will be treasured forever. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

A celebration of Kristan's life will be held at St. Marys Catholic Church 815 Broadalbin St SW, Albany, OR 97321 on 4 September 2026 at 11am. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor her memory and celebrate the love she gave so generously.
