Kristine Marie (White) Powell of Albany passed away peacefully and comfortably May 10th, 2023, at Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House in the presence of family. Kristine, "Kris," was born in Los Angeles California July 13th, 1952.

Kristine moved to the Willamette Valley to live with her sister following the death of their parents in 1969. She graduated from Lebanon Union High School in 1970 and attended LBCC to study art. She was a talented artist, political activist, loved cats, music, and specifically guitarist Mike Campbell of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Her daughter and granddaughters inherited her love for all things Tom Petty, music, and rock and roll.

She was preceded in death by parents Andrew J. White Jr., Mary I. (Petersen) White, sister Andie J. (White) Peters, and stepson Tracy Koker. She is survived by longtime companion Marland Koker, daughter and son in law Casey and Matt Tessen, granddaughters Emmie, Jayda, and Natalie Tessen, longtime friend Sandy Jungers, stepchildren Gary Koker, Tony Koker, Teresa Koker, and many nieces, nephews, and step grandchildren.

Celebration of life to be announced at a later date. Donations on Kristine's behalf can be made to SafeHaven Humane Society to honor her love of cats. Family would like to thank the staff at both Albany General Hospital CCU for their above and beyond care and Samaritan Evergreen Hospice for ensuring Kristine's exit from this world was as comfortable and peaceful as possible.
