Kurt Douglas Wisherd, 75, of Lebanon, Oregon, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026. Born in Los Angeles, California, Kurt later made Oregon his home. He proudly served in the United States Navy before earning a master’s degree in Wood Science from Oregon State University. He spent his entire career with Willamette Industries. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia Wisherd, in 2019. Kurt is survived by his children Jessica Hoehne (Derek), Bill Wisherd (Etsuko), and Thomas Wisherd; and his grandchildren Jackson Hoehne, Sasha Hoehne, Jacob Wisherd, and Fiona Wisherd, who brought him great joy. He found happiness in woodworking, fishing, camping, and backpacking, especially when those pursuits allowed him to enjoy the outdoors and time with family. In his later years, Kurt resided at the Veterans Home in Lebanon, Oregon, where he received compassionate and attentive care. His family is deeply grateful for the kindness shown to him. 

A private memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kurt’s memory to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
