Larry Eldon Martin, 80, passed away at the Albany Hospice Center on November 25th at 12:22 am. He was born on January 13th, 1944, at the Salem Oregon Hospital to Harry and Rose Martin.

Larry was raised in MaCleay, OR on the family farm, then as a Senior He moved to Dallas and later graduated from Dallas High School, Class of 1962. Following graduation, Larry served in the Army Reserves and was also a volunteer firefighter all the while working full time at Safeway grocery. Larry met His beautiful wife in 1966 in Dallas, and they were married in 1968, recently celebrating 56 years of marriage. Sandra and Larry started growing their family in 1968, their son Perry Lane, and 21 months later their daughter Andrea Marie.

Larry spent his career in management at Safeway, and later Roth's IGA in the Albany, Lebanon, and Sweet Home locations. Larry loved to keep a meticulous garden and shared his produce with many friends and family year after year. Larry was heavily involved at Grace Bible Fellowship. He served as a greeter, the head of the Senior Group called Saints Alive, started the visitation team, and also started and managed the free food pantry. Larry, alongside His wife also started a home group for seniors.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in Death by his older sister, Marilyn Fallstead. Surviving Larry is his wife Sandra (Ohren) Martin, son Perry Martin of Albany, and daughter Andrea White and her husband Darren White of Prineville. Larry had five Grandchildren, and 8 Great-grandchildren as follows, Ricky Sariol; Courtney Stubbs; Faith-Anne Walker; Ashley Crow; Micayla Martin; Rubee-Rose Crow; Ronan Crow; Lux Sariol; Adeline Stubbs; Canaan Walker; Hudson Walker; Hosanna Stubbs; Kona Sariol. One sister Marjean Story and her husband Dennis.

Celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 14th, at 1:00 pm, Located at Grace Bible Fellowship in Tangent, OR. Reception to follow. Those who wish to remember Larry in a special way, please join us!
