IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lawrence Donald
Clark
October 27, 1950 – November 10, 2016
Lawrence Donald Clark was born on Oct 27, 1950. He left all of us on November 10, 2016. He was born in Albany to Avis B. and Dale J. Clark. He lived his life with zest, residing in Albany and Corvallis his entire life. He graduated from AUHS in 1969 and from LBCC Nursing School in 1995. He told us he found his calling to be a hospice nurse and it was the fire he carried everywhere with him.
We are born into this world with family by our side, full of hope and honor as we are hugged tight and loved. Life's best case is that we are able to leave that way as well. Testament to Larry, he touched many lives through is work and family. He savored his experiences and adventures, even though he endured an adult lifetime of discomfort due to his arthritic condition. He bore many titles: dad, grandfather, nurse, uncle, brother, son, and husband. He was honored to mentor many young people as we raised our children.
He is survived by wife Teri Clark, his son Cody Clark and wife Katie Clark, daughter Kendall Perry and husband Garland Perry, as well as his granddaughter Ella Joan. He has two brothers, Keith Clark of Albany and Dick Clark of Bend. He has numerous nieces and nephews.
He was the glue that held his family tight. An honest and generous man who's support to all of us will be greatly missed. He was active on the Ethics Board at Samaritan Albany General Hospital, Greater Albany Rotary, and Samaritan Institutional Review Board. He also served as a mentor to all new staff at Samaritan Evergreen Hospice. We feel the support and love of everyone he touched.
We will honor his legacy and share stories at a celebration of life to be held on December 18, 2016 at Deluxe Brewery at 1 pm in Albany, OR. His burial will be private. Donations can be left for the Hospice House or Callie's Fund (for hospice pets) at: www.GoFundMe.com/supportourlarry
