Lawrence
Stelmach
Jan 2, 1951 — Sep 25, 2026
Lawrence “Larry” Bradley Stelmach, age 75, passed away September 25, 2026 at Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House in Albany, Oregon.
He was born January 2, 1951, in Abington, Pennsylvania, the first son of the late Casimer Frank Stelmach and Martha Jean Bradley.
Larry completed his Bachelor’s degree at the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1972, and his Master’s of Business Administration at Lehigh University in 1994. He had an illustrious career in the pharmaceutical industry, spending three decades working for Air Products and Chemicals, Fisher Scientific, and Johnson & Johnson. After that, Larry transitioned from the corporate sector to teaching and became a professor of business administration at Delaware Valley University. He spent more than 20 years teaching and mentoring countless students and served as chair of the business department, as well as consulting on its strategic planning committee. A lifelong animal lover, Larry also spent years volunteering at the Tabby’s Place cat shelter in East Amwell Township, New Jersey. And any summary of Larry’s life would be incomplete without reference to his love of golf; he played innumerable golf courses, both near and far.
A beloved husband and father, he is survived by his wife, Joan, two children: Caz Stelmach of Portland, Oregon; and Greg Stelmach of Albany, Oregon; and his brother, Mark Stelmach of Austin, Texas.
A memorial service is being planned for Spring 2027 in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. More details to follow.
Arrangements made by Aasum-Dufour Funeral Home, Albany, Oregon.
