Leland Willis ZellwegerMay 25, 1926 - July 28, 2008Leland Willis Zellweger,82,  died on Monday at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.He was born in Grand River Township in Adair County, Iowa to John and Dorothy (Cook) Zellweger.  He was the oldest of four children. Leland attended rural school in Iowa and graduated from Zion High School in 1945.  He also attended Creston Junior College and Iowa State College.  Leland moved from Iowa to Seattle and then settled in Albany in 1954.  He went into the chemical and fertilizer industry; originally working for Lilly's which eventually became Western Farm Services.  Leland retired as a manager after 42 years in 1996.Leland was an avid sportsman who loved fishing and hunting.  He also enjoyed traveling to his home state every year and visiting family and friends.Leland is survived by brother Robert Zellweger of Florida; and a special nephew, Jay Zellweger of Iowa; as well as many other nephews, nieces and cousins.  He was preceded in death by brother Wyman and sister Arlene.At Leland's request no public service is planned.  AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home is handling arrangements ( www.aasum-dufour.com ).
