Lenna "Gracie" Malone-Norton, 93, of Albany passed away Jan. 17.
Gracie was born in Topaz, Mo., to Edward McCarty and Myrtle Hawkins. She married Chester "Allen" Malone in 1939 in Mountain Grove, Mo.
The Malone's moved to Seattle, Wash. Gracie worked in the ship yards and then for Boeing until she retired 33 years later.
She raised two children, Walter and Sharron. After Chester passed away in 1983, Gracie married John Norton in 1986. John had two sons, Michael and David, who became part of their family. In 2002 John passed away. Gracie moved to Albany to be close to her son and his family.
Gracie lived at the Villa's for many years and just recently moved into Wynwood Assisted Living at the time of her death.
She was amazing mom, grandma, great-grandma, and great-great-grandma.
Anyone who met Gracie fell in love with her. She had a kind and generous heart.
Gracie is survived by her sons, Walter Malone, David Norton and Michael Norton; daughter Sharron Kay; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by C. Allen Malone and John Norton.
No funeral services will be held.
