Obituary

Linda Sue Barnett, of Albany, Oregon, passed away on January 10th peacefully at her home after battling liver cancer.
Born Linda Sue Gunn in Klamath Falls, Oregon. She was a 1964 graduate of Klamath Union High School. Her true calling in life was nursing. More than a profession, it was her deepest love and purpose. She brought skill, compassion, and steadiness to every patient she cared for, believing wholeheartedly in dignity, comfort, and advocacy for others. She was a proud member of one of the first graduating classes in nursing at Oregon Institute of Technology, a milestone she carried with quiet pride throughout her life.
When she was not working, she expressed her creativity through beautiful handwork projects. With patience and care, she created pieces that reflected the same attention and love she brought to her family. These handmade works were gifts of the heart, treasured by those who received them.
She is survived by her two daughters Kimberly Colmenero of Medford, Oregon, and Gwendolyn Williams of Klamath Falls, Oregon. Linda loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them right up until the end of her life. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the care she gave so freely, and the quiet beauty she created.
In remembrance of her life and calling, her family invites you to honor Linda Barnett’s memory with a donation to either the Oregon Tech Foundation or Loose Ends, a nonprofit organization dedicated to completing unfinished handmade projects for families experiencing loss.
