We regretfully announce the passing of Linda Hoffman, who left us peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. Linda had a long battle with Frontal Lobe Dementia, and is finally at rest. She will be forever loved and forever remembered. Linda was born in Freeport, NY on July 23rd, 1952. She is predeceased by her mother, Della Harriet Carmen, and her father Robert Edward Hoffman.

Linda was a proud graduate of NYIT, where she completed her Bachelor's degree, graduating cum laude. She enjoyed gardening, being out on the boat, researching her ancestry and connecting with long-lost cousins. When Linda was around, you could be sure that coffee and Wise Lightly Salted Potato Chips were nearby, as these were daily staples in her life. Linda was always up for a road trip, with the customary procedure of lifting her feet when changing states, as to 'not trip on the border.' She would jump at an opportunity to visit a historic landmark or collect information about her ancestors. At any moment, Linda could, and would, loudly burst into song, especially if she could seize the moment to embarrass her family in public (much to their dismay). She loved Barbara Streisand, Peter, Paul and Mary, and 'oldies' tunes, and was still singing the classics in her last days. Linda is survived by her two children, Robert and Heather; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings Barry, Nancy and Jeffrey; along with many other family members who will miss her dearly. Linda will be cremated as per her request, and her family will be spreading her ashes throughout the U.S. There will be a service in her honor, in East Moriches, next summer. In lieu of sending flowers, please consider planting a tree or flowers in her honor. Linda especially loved sunflowers.
