Obituary

Linda Lou Yutzie, born on August 21, 1948, in the quaint town of Toledo, Oregon, left this world peacefully on June 11, 2025, in Albany, Oregon, due to natural causes. Linda, a beacon of adventurous spirit, faith, and friendliness, touched the lives of many with her warmth and generosity. A proud graduate of Albany Union High School, class of 1966, Linda set the foundation for a successful career. She devoted many years as a Human Resources Manager to two prominent food processing companies, where her contributions were invaluable. Linda's Christian faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and her outlook. Embodying this sentiment through her involvement with local veterans organizations, where she dedicated countless hours to serving those who had served our country. Her work with veterans was more than a pastime; it was a way she expressed her gratitude and respect for their sacrifices. Traveling, concerts and boating were among Linda's greatest joys, activities she frequently enjoyed with her beloved late husband, Bill Yutzie, and their circle of friends. Whether navigating the open waters or exploring new destinations, Linda embraced each moment with an open heart. Linda's family was her pride and joy. She is survived by her son, Mike McKenzie; step-children, Jill Brown and Tyler Yutzie; her sister, Evelyn Gray; her sister, Laura Gates; her brother, Greg Hopkins; and a cherished ensemble of fourteen nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by her second husband, Bill Yutzie, her brother, Richie Hopkins, and her parents, who instilled in her the values of love and family that she carried throughout her life. We bid farewell to Linda Lou Yutzie, a true friend, a guiding light, and an inspiration to all. Her journey on earth may have concluded, but the adventure of her spirit continues as she embarks on the next chapter in the presence of her Creator. Linda's life serves as a reminder to us all to live each day with courage, faith, and an unyielding capacity to love.

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."2 Timothy 4:7
