Linda Kay Rigutto, 73, of Hillsboro, passed peacefully in her home on Sept 19, 2020, beloved family by her side. Linda was born April 21, 1947, in Fargo, North Dakota to Rae Wiig and Ronald Baldwin. Linda moved to Oregon as a young child and graduated from North Eugene High School. She married Martin in 1965 and they raised 3 daughters, eventually settling in Roseburg. Linda made her career as a Land Surveyor, most recently working for Washington County where she was a highly respected member of the Professional Land Surveyors of Oregon. Linda took a well-deserved retirement in 2017.
Linda had a love for outdoor activities including hiking and running. Linda competed in the Portland Marathon and Hood to Coast among many other runs. Favorite hiking spots include the Eagle Cap wilderness area and Mirror Lake. Linda enjoyed exploring and took her mother, Jeff, and sister Debbie on a cruise to Alaska, while also spending time on the Oregon coast with her daughters and grandchildren. She enjoyed music, particularly Jazz events with her brother Chris.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Diana Shapiro and Lantz of Salem, Christina Rigutto of Beaverton and Jennifer Rigutto and Steven of Hillsboro, 2 brothers Jeff Baldwin and Chris Baldwin, both of Gresham, 8 grandchildren Kelsey, Alex, Kayla, Lora, Anthony, Jordan, Isabella and Hailey, 4 great-grandchildren Jack, Oliver, Iris and Gracie, and many nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her mother Rae Sullivan, father Ronald, and her sister Beth Baldwin.
Arrangements by Assum-Dufour, Albany Oregon, tribute wall online. A celebration of Linda's extraordinary life is planned when again permitted. Linda fought a valiant fight against Parkinson's disease and Lewy Body Dementia. Remembrances in her name can be made at parkinsonsresources.org located in Beaverton OR.
